Every so often on Ebay, I enter into a group of people who are viciously territorial about the area they bid in. This is how it is with crochet hooks. Yes....crochet hooks brings out a bidding demon in some people. Not the single hooks, but the large "lots". You know...like when grandma dies and leaves a bucketload of crochet hooks and knitting needles and someone sticks them on Ebay in one big lump for want of something better to do. I have yet to win one of these auctions. Same with most "lots" of thread or yarn. I have bid on many, but about 8 hours before the auction ends, the Crochet Nazis swoop in and begin bidding the hell out of the auctions. I admit that I now bid on these lots not to win the item, but to watch the bidding war. Reminds me of those old films of the bargain basement at Macy's.

When Denise was here for the July 4th burning of the cow, she was surprised to learn that I do not own a Tea/Lemonade pitcher. It is not from lack of wanting one, or looking for one, it is just I have been slow at choosing one. So I finally went and bid on one the other day:



I recieved it yesterday in the mail And it looks darn groovy next to a set of swanky swigs I keep on top of my frig. To be honest I am a sucker for a nifty set of Swanky Swigs, I have quite a few I have picked up one at a time at garage sales. It would become an obsession if I let it. Want some fun? Today I am DETERMINED to break the ironing board out and begin the ironing. All the closets are done, even the linen closet and the drawers, the house is clean and so it would be a good day to do it. I might film while I iron. We shall see.
